The Clinical supervision workshop is a 1-day practical and interactive workshop designed to help clinicians enhance their assessment skills in real-world clinical settings. Ìý
This engaging workshop explores the role and responsibilities of the clinical supervisor, including the significance of feedback in clinical teaching. This workshop offers tangible strategies that encourage the development of supportive, fair and educationally valuable assessments, forming a key part of clinical supervisor training. Ìý
Revised and updated for 2026, the workshop maintains its focus on workplace‑based assessments (WPBAs) and now introduces a deeper exploration of inclusivity within clinical supervision, including ways to support neurodiversity.
This workshop is part of the optional ÄÛ²ÝÓ°Ôº Clinical educator accreditation (see below for more details).

- Evaluate how feedback supports learning by producing tailored guidance that helps students improve their performance, in both the formal and hidden curriculum, and analyse the models that can inform this process
- Critically explore the role and responsibilities of the clinical supervisor in the clinical learning environment, identifying the value of effective feedback for resident doctors
- Identify and maximise opportunities for WPBAs through the process of reflection.
